Update December 10, 2019: Mojang has reported that some players are having issues connecting their Microsoft Account to their Playstation 4, and are currently working on resolving the issues. ![]() It does seem that the Minecraft Earth issue that we reported earlier is solved. They're advising players to restart their games fully and attempt the process again. The only thing standing between Minecraft fans on Playstation and the quintessential edition of Minecraft is signing into a Microsoft Account to enable cross-play. Minecraft: Bedrock Edition also gets faster updates and is pretty much guaranteed to be fully supported for as long as Minecraft is around. This update comes complete with the Better Together update, which turns on full cross-play support across Windows, Xbox, VR, Switch, and mobile platforms. Hopefully miHoYo will be able to update the PS4 and PS5 versions in future to make linking less of a limited process. Right now you’re best off waiting until the 2.0 update arrives before trying to link accounts. Unfortunately the details for how to link a PS4 account to mobile and PC in Genshin Impact are a little fiddly. You must enter the related account details here or you will not be able to link them in future. When you play Genshin Impact for the first time on PS4 or PS5, you’ll be prompted with a pop-up window asking you to enter an email address for an existing miHoYo account. Because of a limitation with how your PSN is automatically tied to a new miHoYo account when you start the game, you can only enjoy cross-saves between console and pc/mobile if you link the accounts directly upon creation. If you play primarily on mobile or PC and want to enjoy cross-save on PS4/5, it’s vital that you don’t start playing yet. You cannot join two accounts which have already been created. If you’ve already made a miHoYo account with the desired email, you’ll need to use another for cross-saves on PC or mobile. Once you’ve confirmed the account through your email, you’ll be able to use that address to log in on PC and play with the same account you’ve been using on PS4 or PS5.
